So is this just for the looks or do you get some performance gains from this?

Oh ok, do you have to adjust the gap on those plugs?

I just did my spark plugs on the weekend, I used Bosch +4 platinum plugs (http://www.boschautoparts.com/Products/SparkPlugs/Platinum4.htm) and I also used Bosch wires, Cost me $115CDN, well worth is tho, except for the stupid old wires shredding during the removal :S

I have NGK's too... and no, I didn't have to adjust the gap. They are the best spark plug out there in my opinion.

I have heard mixed opinions about bosch plugs so I'm a little hesitant to purchase those, but how much do the NGKs cost compared to bosch?

if you get the "stock" plug replacement i paid like $1.60 and if you get the ones with the colder heat range (the ones most people with boost/nitrous use) they are around 7 bucks a plug.

For NGK? I only paid $10.00 for all four.

There are 4 different NGK plugs for a 2.4
-V-power (what I have) $2.24
-G-power $2.82
-Laser Platinum $8.95
-Iridium IX $7.32

those prices came from sparkplugs.com

I think from Murrays I got mine for $15 for all 6
