OK, could i buy one of the ebay V6 CAIs and mate it to the end of my current 2.4 WAI. And if so what kind of help does it really do? I mean thats another 40 bucks, is the differnce really worth it or no? Or would it be possible to find another intake for cheap and hack it up to make a cold air intake.

yup that works, i used a second 2.4L WAI and hacked off one piece of it to make it work

Ok, so what kind of differnce is there between a wai and a cai?

its colder air, so its far superior. the gains from a WAI->CAI are minimal, but definitely a good idea

made my supercharger louder, more pipe to echo in, filter's farther outside the engine bay to the environment, so it will sound different

with my CAI i have a nice whistle when i punch it and there is a difference between the two in performance. i gain 1mph in the 1/4 mile with mine which normally is approx 10hp

does'nt work like that but to gain a mph over your stock mph it requires 10 hp. this is what i heard.
