Cawl Hood

Hey Well as a winter project ive decided to Possibly Attempt the cowl hood think it looks AMZING i just have a few questions if anyone could help
What is the best way to do this? my first thought and what mostlikly ill try is i can get a 2nd hood easly. Would it be easyer to Cut the hood up and weld side peices and fiberglass/bondo it?
or would it be smarter just to buy the fiberglass cowl.

welding and paint preping is something i can do quit well. My dad paints.

but could anyone give me some advice on how to do this.

If it were me i'd look around for prefab cawl i liked and slap that on... i wouldn't really wanna make one from scratch... course you could find one to just mold off too...

they dont make the hoods thats the whole deal here....
but really make sure u get another hood pop rivit it in and use some light icing or weld it

if you want to build a hood do it. im thinking of doing one. i would rather spend my time and money to build something then to buy it. at the end of the day i can stand back and say i built that not " that costed me $xxx.xx and so and so installed it for me " that is the problem. nobody is out there trying new things in there back yards. I have build a jeep from ground up made my own mounts, brackets, etc. i could have bought them but i decided to take a grinder, torch, welder and make my own. so if you have the balls to take a grinder to your car then do it. don't knock someone down for some thing that you cant do or want try ( or just have to much money and can waste it ). i have three welders, grinders, torches, drill press, two full tool boxes, tubing bender and other stuff ( also have access to lathe and mill mach. im a trained tool and die maker so yes i know how to use them.) so steven01 or any one else want to build make some thing let me know how i can help.

im actually thinkin of making strut tower braces for my car. $100+ each i think i will make my own ( how meny you want?)
