What color do you see?

Hey,

First off, newbie here, newbie with my Alero, which I like more and more everyday I ride it. Anyways, one thing confuses my mind and that is the color of this car. I see brown, golden, copper, even purple. I asked friends, each say they see a different color. Here are a few pics I took.

Also, I will be looking forward to modding this car, I'll probably start with sound, what do you guys think? And as well ,what do you think of the color, is it an original color, or did I find myself a rare color? :)

yah its purple lol. i forget the technical name for it but i THINK it was only made in 99... like my color, the Opaline Blue.

im pretty sure its called plum something or other

The pics don't show the color I see, I don't mind it, I like it a lot, but it does look golden in the sun, purple in the shadow. Kinda what Pimp said, kinda Bronze. Oh by the way, know the tire pressure? It has original tires (Eagle LS) on back.

Take the amber lense out of the headlights, about 1/2 hours work per headlight if you choose to do it.

my old Alero was this color. It looks good shined up sittin in the sun. I never did find out what color it was technacally called.

Yeah ive seen a few in this tupe of color, its like a "chromatic, pearl" ,whatever you call it, color between bronze and purple almost.

The only purple alero I have ever seen in my town doesn't look like that. I believe that is the auburn mist, which I have never seen in person, so yeah, looks like you got yourself a rare alero.

There's also one called Bronzemist. It depends on the year. Auburn mist is the older (99-00) color. I test drove a Bronzemist 5-speed GL2 back in '02.

Yea, I was down the street and saw a purple Alero, it looked totally different than mine. Plain color, no shine. Anyways, love it. lol.

I don't know. I was creating some new screen names and it came as a mix of words. To me, it sounds rebellious, malicious (Mal-ix-ous) lol. And easy to remember, so I started using it. It's weird, I know.

Anyways, I found out that not that many people own this color car. More own black, gray, or red. Makes it even better. And true, it is brownish in the sun.

It's kinda like my old corolla.... Mine's more of a pink tone to it.... I beleive the actual color name was Mauve Pink or something like that.... Looks kinda like it though...

Yea, I know what you mean. Pink shirts are ok (I don't really wear them personally) but popped colors look like you're a drug addict or left home too fast lol.
