What else is a good mod to change the lights? Like some people say, everyone is doing the clear corner thing, so I want to do something different. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

^ They aren't hard to make, but expensive.

I painted my Bezels white, didn't look too bad, but I only have one extra headlight to do it with. I don't think I can get away with painting them red

Go for some rojector headlights. :D Look for Anderbra's post and click on his link to see them... If he's still around, you can pm him and see if he will make you a set.

Everything everybody said is fine and dandy but it would still be doing something that someone else has done, and therefore not being diffenrent which is what I think he is shooting for.

ok in that case put some 13in wires and hydros. or jack it up and throw 24s or 26s biggest ive seen is 22s

OK, what would you have him do then?

We are a small group on Aleromod, when you compare that to the thousands of Aleros on the road that are stock it makes ours stand out, so ya they are different.

Yea,

True enough, not too many in my town, few I've seen completely stock, which helps out my car's profile if I fix it up.

I'd pretty much want something different, I don't really like big rims, highest I'd go would be 18s. I think my first Mod would be to lower it. As for the headlights, what about those covers, that darken out the Amber. I really don't want to clear (I don't have the how to skill) I'd do it probably if nothing else works.

Also, any clue on how good a Spoiler would look?

It's just tossing a headlight in the oven, opening it, popping out the orange thing, then pressing it back together, doesn't really take much skill mang ;)

i consider myself different just by owning an alero. I'm the only alero owner in my neighborhood and at my school.

no problem although I wouldn't go for the hair dryer.... A lot of people set their stove to 150 (is that right?) and put them in there for like 10 minutes or so...... Please correct me if I'm wrong about those numbers... I'd hate to have him make a mistake and melt his headlights. lol

Quick Question about Clear Corners, Are they legal?
P.S. I live in MA

cavaliers60
10-25-2007, 12:10 AM
there are a lot of cars out there without the orange lens... As long as your turn signals glow orange, you'll be legal. I beleive white is also legal as a marker light... but no blue or red in the front as that is highly illegal and you'll get a nice ticket for it....

ares89
10-25-2007, 12:11 AM
clear corners are legal as long as you put amber bulbs/LEDs in the section where the amber lens was...
and when/if you clear your corners.. seal them up like no other... i did a bad seal on the first one i did (did mine a week apart because im an idiot) and now theres moisture in the light.

as for the spoiler, the stock spoilers look good.. dunno what a non-kitted car with a non-stock spoiler would look...

cavaliers60
10-25-2007, 12:14 AM
the razzi spoiler looks good on a stock alero. Talk to Pawz, she might send you a pic of her car with the razzi spoiler.

I think that the heat gun is the best way that way you can localize the heat, but that is my opinion. As far as the legality of them...no they aren't legal at least here in mayland because you have to have what they call an orange reflector in the front. Alot of guys get by this by putting amber bulbs in the front, and it works but a smart cop would notice that...thank god for high school drop outs...I have been running for awhile with just plain white lights and have yet to have a problem. I have also ran with red and blue lights with no problem but with something like that you run at your own risk as always. good luck

We are a small group on Aleromod, when you compare that to the thousands of Aleros on the road that are stock it makes ours stand out, so ya they are different.Yeah in that aspect our cars do stand out,but HE said that he wanted to do something different, now clearing the corners is by far the easiest, and most cost effective way, but your shooting the messenger here, and that's not exactly what he said he wanted. Correct if I'm wrong. What should HE do you ask? I don't know but I do have a few ideas, but thats all they are because I don't have the time or the money to try them out. I can draw a picture but that's about it. He can be as creative with his lights as he wants but whats going to limit his creativity is going to be the same that limits us all, and thats MONEY! If that isn't a problem then go all out, hell do a complete light swap what ever tickles your pickle.

Nice,

Good thinking. I like the clear lights, but not only Aleros have 'em. I've seen some covers that'll kinda highlight the lights. They are like the black show covers, but these seem to have a circle for the lights. Seen 'em on Hondas and Acuras.

As same as you, I'm sure we all have money problems. Since I just bought the car, I got payments as well. Not much left, probably 200-300 a month that I could probably spend. And that is a probably, cause things always come up.

Good points, Lonnie.

uhm yall ...technically clear corners are illegal, bc you are supposed to have reflectors on the front and rear of your vehicle. I have had mine cleared for years tho and no cop has ever noticed. If they did, they didnt bother starting trouble with me over it.

oh and as long as the lights on the front of your car are white or amber, thats legal as well.

Thats all in NC.. But those laws are probably pretty general anywhere in the states

Damn I had some ideas for lights that I drew up at work but because I got a point a few days ago for a comment. I cant post them, I guess I have to wait 30 days. But in the interim I would like to do like a 90-93 acura integra Halo angel Eye Projector Headlight conversion in a black housing. Never been done before, and if my wife doesn't stay out of my pocket lol it never will.

Gota love women they look good, smell good, hell some taste good, but they will spend all your check before you open the stub to see what you made, and I get a pretty nice check every two weeks. Oh well what ever keeps them happy, Right;) http://www.racinglab.com/90acinhaaney.html Now I know the first thing you may say is that wont fit, and you would be absolutely right, but I bet I could get it to work.

~MalixThanx, now some of those covers look good but it dosn't give you the satisfaction of making your own or doing something that no one would think to do. No matter what there will always be people that hate it and those that love it but as long as you can live with it that's all that matters, Right? To each his/her own!
