View Full Version : O2 Sensor Wire + A/F Gauge = SES

When I installed my narrowband A/F gauge and tapped into the wire from the O2 sensor, it caused an SES light to show. (someone on here mentioned something about tapping into it caused it to lower the voltage of the wire way back when)

I asked this question on j-body: "Would this affect anything negatively (timing, performance)?"

And Shifted (a respected tuner of this application) said "Yes."

So basically I could've run better at the track without the A/F gauge draining stuff from the O2 signal wire, which likely is giving the computer wrong numbers?

check for a short in the a/fs signal wire, this would cause the signal to short. the signal wire for your o2 is purple in the harness, a/f gauges are digital and do not use any voltage from the o2 signal
