The driver's seat in my Alero is the standard cloth seat with the power height adjustment. Unfortunately, the foam padding is separating from the seat frame. I'm looking to replace the seat and I was wondering if anybody knew if the six-way power seat would plug into the same wiring harness as my current seat provided I change the entire seat assembly. Any guideance would be appreciated
Thanks! :coolio:

Isn't the electrical plug only there to supply power to the seat? If that's the case than yes, it should work, as all the motors are contained within the seat, and the plug would then just provide the juice to the power distribution that is set up in the seat - but without my "book" I can't tell you 100% for sure. Seems like it should work though...

I was thinking the same thing.... The plug should just be power and ground.... The seat has all the wireing and crap for the motor....

I had an 02 Grand Am with just the power height adjustment. I upgraded to leather and added a power seat at the same time. The connector plugged into the existing harness with no mods needed. Shouldn't be any different for the Alero.
