i got 40 red led's from a guy at my work. he know that im into car stuff he is the elect. forman. he walked up and gave me 10 prewired led's then 30 min later he gave me 10 more :yahoo: . then the next day 20 more :yahoo: . i asked him where he got them and he said " i can't tell you everything" :ninja: so i didn't ask. now what to do with them ? ( and know YOU can't have them ) :scpimp:

my car is dark blue and the interor is gray.

I'm thinking vents and a lighted plexy glass amp rack

i have a red car w/ blue or red. at night you can't really tell the color of the car so it doesn't matter.

2 on the passanger vent, 4 in the center one (two per division) and one on the driver vent.

you can also redo the center console. 2 in the center cubby, 5 in the shift lights.

i got resistors from opamp.com (not sure what the specific link is) but they were $0.005 each. :lol: VERRY cheap. i stopped buying from oznium once i knew what i was doing.

Its still a GREAT site and has phenomenal customer service... which is what your partially paying for in the price.

wouldn't be able to see em during the day though...

and wouldn't wiring them to the turn signals be too much of a hassle?

i don't know wire them together and run the wire in side to a relay and flasher shouldn't be that hard. :pimp: :dance1:

you could put some in your sun visor, i put green and blue leds in the mirror cover. lights up the roof of the car, all the way to the back. and doesn't hurt visibility at night.

Here's a rundown on what I got and how I did it....

1. I bought small LED strip from oznium.com (http://www.oznium.com).

2. Bought red and black wire. You can get them at Wal-mart, or any hardware store or auto store.... I beleive it's 18 gauge.

3. Install LED strips on the outer corner of the mirror in between the mirror and the housing. I made sure I got them even on both sides.

4. Run the wires through the mirror assembly, behind the door panel. I ran the red and black wire from the back of the door panel through the gromet piece where all the wires run to the car.

5. Finally, I ran the black and red wires to the rear tail light turn signal bulb. This way, they don't glow at night and flash whenever the turn signal is on.

I did the same thing with the other side and ran those wires to the other rear turn signal bulb.. All the wires can run behind the interior pieces for a nice clean look. It's like they were meant to be there all along! :D


Don't do what I did and wire the red and black wires up in the mirror....... I would just run the LED wires out and behind the door panel.... Would be cleaner, and not run any risk of shorting it out due to rain getting up in there and such. I'm getting new GAGT mirrors for christmas so I'll be wireing new ones to those later...
