Cant agree with the 2k price tag (mine had a much lower price) but its all up to the manufacturer. Wouldnt drop 2k on a lip kit but if the price came down i would in a heartbeat

like isaid just said a price

2k? I understand how rare it is, but the demand is there. Supply may not be yet because its new but the price should drop. I doubt cost of production for the kit puts the price @ 2k, someone must be getting greedie. I wouldnt purchase it. What materials are they using to comprise the kit again?

Didn't you sell you're Alero?

Maybe you should make it yourself, and offer a lower price

I can say that freely because your girlie isn't here anymore

molding? it'd be a replacement bumper, not sure what this "molding" has to do with anything. shouldn't it be made properly in the first place without the necessity to rebend it all into the correct shape?

unless you're just talking about molding in the way that you're assuming everyone wants it blended into the car so no seams are visible

1000 for paint? hmm... shinyalero what'd you pay?

pimpalero2003
11-14-2007, 09:12 PM
its jut a lip kit itd stick onto fact bumper and u dont want to see the ugly seam and im saying a thousand for removing bumper putting lip on and painting and remounting it

cavaliers60
11-14-2007, 09:12 PM
$250 for shipping???

Gr1m
11-14-2007, 09:13 PM
well if it is a replacement bumper there would be no molding, but if its just a lipkit like the razzi, then you would want to mold it like joel and sweet have done to their, im not sure what the fucking guy is making anymore lol

pimpalero2003
11-14-2007, 09:13 PM
im not talking about molding it to the car just the bumper

cavaliers60
11-14-2007, 09:16 PM
I'll save them a step and bring the bumper to them...... I could probably mold it myself too.... Doesn't sound to hard...

I'm looking at a max of $1,200.... and that sounds a little high to me....

pimpalero2003
11-14-2007, 09:18 PM
its harder then u think and not cheap u cant use bondo u have to use plastic filler for flexiable parts

pimpalero2003
11-14-2007, 09:19 PM
how is 1200 high???

cavaliers60
11-14-2007, 09:31 PM
My bad.... On his post it says a lip kit will be $350 or $150 a piece, a full body kit will be $600... so I guess that's replacing the bumbers and side skirts....

pimpalero2003
11-14-2007, 09:37 PM
i doubt that low unless its really really thin

Redog
11-14-2007, 11:43 PM
I don't think 1200 is high for that, plus I can get it painted for free  (well cost of paint only)

I like it, but I don't have that kind of money, I'd rather put the money elsewhere

I want to see what quality I am getting for the price, if I feel it's worth $1200 i'll buy it if worth $600 I will buy for that price. Don't make me decide before I see finished product.

Oh ok, i thought 2k was his price. If its $1200 then yea id be first in line to write the check. Thats closer to what I was gonna charge for it. $250 for shipping is about right since it has to be delivered in a truck. This is if its a full bumper replacement though, if its just a lip add on then not a chance would i pay $1200.

Redog, i have no clue what you tried to say, and no clue what your trying to get at seeing as i was expressing my personal opinion.

Much like Marc just said, if it's replacing the whole bumper(s) and just just the lip, then hell ya I would buy it, might even be the first canuck with it...hahaha doubt it but it's still a nice thought

1200 for a lip kit would proly be bout right for this. it's kind of late in the game for this, there are no original or aftermarket pieces to base this off of, so it has to be built from scratch. 2000 for a full kit is right on imo. people gotta make money. the demand wont be high and supply will be even less since it's one company doin it. knock offs probably wont ever happen either. it's not like it's as simple as the andys kit, they just took an aftermarket kit chopped the top off it, then chopped the bottom off the stock and made a mold of the 2.
