Okay.

I get my signing bonus for my new job soon. Which is only 300 bucks cash, but it's one lump sum. So i'm thinking an Intake.

1. I want a Cheap, Decent brand that will Fit the car easily. for the intake.

2. I've been advised just to go with a Ractive performance muffler and cut the Cat Converter out. It will allow the car to put out what it needs much better. Any suggestions?

3. Can i do this for 300 Canadian? or a little over?

There was a guy selling intakes for the 3400 on ebay for pretty cheap. I'm sure you can find more for the 2.4 on ebay. Just look under all the rest like Cavalier, Sunfire, etc.

Very few shops will gut the cat. I wouldn't do it. Fines are very large for that

induction dynamics has one, but it's 300+

many people have gotten those cavalier z24 ones off of ebay and they've worked fine, pretty cheap too, around 30-50 bucks for an intake.

One thing about those though, they will say cold air intake, but they're really warm air intakes.. but I heard that it's pretty easy to take a 3400 cai, attatch it to one of the wais and you have a cai.

and about the cat, why not just go with a highflow cat?

1. go to ebay and searcn for 2.4 cold air intake and buy the cheapest one.
2. go to ebay or w/e and buy the muffler you would like and bring it to your local muffler shop ( they always overcharge for their stuff) tell them you want to get rid of your cat and upgrade the piping all the way with your new muffler
3. i dont think your gonna get it for under 300 because muffler shops charge a lot for their piping/labor

That seems kinda like your fault.
