Hey!

I have a friend that is willing to sell me his mint condition cone air filter.

The only problem for me is that the brand of it is Bomz racing and not k&n.

I wanted to know if i should still get it from him, or should i play it safe and find a k&n filter? are those bomz racing filters any good?

Thanx alot!

A filter's a filter. I use Tenzo R. The only crappy ones are the ones the eBay intakes come with, one of them fell apart on me, hah (not in use either, not even connected with the intake, just in the garage, next time i picked it up it fell to pieces).

^ so if its a full intake, if the filter is crap you can always just get a new filter.

haha no i'm not all i can find in this area are simota's filters which i dont really like... thats why i'm after k&n so much. i wanna put a quality product in my car and not harm it with some effed up filter.

Yeah, but the better filteting u get = the better performance u get and better health for your engine.

more filtering, less airflow
less filtering, more chance of debris

find the happy medium, any filter will work well as long as it doesn't fall apart like my eBay one lol

By better filtering i didnt mean it like u thought. i didnt mean that it filters more, i just ment it by efficiency. I know k&n filters work great. i dont know if bomz racing really "think" and design their filters for the health and maximum performance of the car.

dude you are way overthinking this. Filters are almost all just paper webbing. Throw that thing on there it will be fine.

Maybe I am, but i'm planning on keeping this car during my military service time so I need to take care of it.

One more question - What exactly is a breather and do i need to put one on my intake????? Please help.
