There out there I've seen'em before just don't remember where. It probably won't be for a while tho. Gotta spend some money on a body kit sometime in the spring, not only that I need some other head lights cause I already got my stockers modified. I want to go with the AAS or the razzi. After that maybe this coming summer 08' Ill get to work on them, Id also like to through in some projectors to just need to find some. I tried using a cadilac cts's projector glass and mount, but it wouldnt fit:(

I'm wondering which will fit I would have to say the 70mm, but I'm not for sure. Im in auto cad class right now and I printed some 50, 60, the 70, and the 80mm circles off and I would have to go with the 60, but they dont make'em? But if it comes down to it I would go with the 70mm. Any body round there ho right now w/ measuring tape?

Those wont work with our cars. the housing is a oval shape where those are a perfect circle. you can request the custom one, but will need a group buy of 20 people lol and good luck getting that many ppl on here

The whole point of angel eyes is to be round, one in a weird rounded rectangular shape of the Alero's would look weird. The circle would just have to be small enough to fit in the weird shaped opening, which is why I said it might look odd.

thats true, get ones that are small enough to fit and it would be better. Hell if you get a group buy together this summer I might get on board. I don't have a use for them right now but who knows in the future.

I might!, be able to do something like a group buy this summer, but I really dont know how to through one of these things together other than send them some measurements and headlight, or two, and let them fab. some angel eyes (For those who dont know fab. is fabrication)http://www.aleromod.com/forums/images/icons/icon10.gif
OR one of us or myself could find a decent website that already makes the specific diameter of the opening for either or both head light openings regardless of shape Satsuriku:coolio:
But don't worry Aaron's got the measuring covered, I'll do it tomorrow morning I got some 50-80mm cutouts, on paper, from autocad class. I'll let you know what size and we'll go from there. I will, not promise anything on the fact that these will be produced. I'm just saying I'll look into it, and don't wait for me if you, whoever, find away. Awesome! Tell us about it.
Also isn't oznium a site sponsor on aleromod?

I have looked at a few manufacturers of CCFL tubes. They can be made in any shape and any size....they are basically like a neon tube, and are used in many different applications including LCD backlights. Not that expensive either.
In the alero headlights, unless you have projectors, they would look rediculous IMO. Rectangle assembly with a round circle. Retrofit some projectors and then get some halos.

ya thats why I don't need them now but in the future I would like to retrofit some projectors with HIDs so if I got them this summer or whatever and stored them then I would have them around in case I did mod the headlights

Might work with some fabricating. The set that I made I used LEDs with as well, but CCFL are much much brighter. Here are a set of CCFLs in an LS headlight.

are they just there to look pretty? or are they actually useful in some way?

just to look pretty. I dont know if I actually will tho. I think im going to go with projectors more than angel eyes, but it would still look different than stock. It would also be cool if I could do it myself.

I prefer angel eye to projectors. It would be really interesting if you actually complete the set with Eyes. You could even make some cash out of it...

I put up a customer page of his on my website with whatever pics I could find....
http://anderbrainnovations.com/Customers/Latorre/Latorre.html
the only thing I cannot find is pics of the red LEDs I mounted in the headlight bezel to iluminate them red. He also was going to get my LED blinker mirrors with a set of red and amber LEDs, but he sold it by then if I remember correctly. Still have the mirrors. That was one of the most involved set of LED tails I did...ill try to find some closeups.

The LEDs in the middle behind the mesh are white and were installed for reverse lights.

They were stock black mirrors with manual adjustments. He had a red theme going with the headlights etc, so this had 2 sets of LEDs....Amber and Red. He could use Red for Shows and Amber for daily driving. You can see what I am talking about in the 3rd picture on that page. The pictures fo them lit are not the greatest, but give you an idea.

There is quite a bit involved in this project, and it is not cheap. Depending on how inexpensively you can aquire parts, you could be looking at around $600.
$100 roughly for a set of Audi projectors.
$300 for a decent set of HIDs. (can find them cheaper on ebay as long as they fit the projector housing)
$200-$250 Labor
Total $600-$650.
Thats really the main reason why I never made any after that set. Folks are not willing to invest properly.

200-250 labor is pretty cheap if you ask me but your right, 600 bux for a set of headlights would make a lot of people balk. If your still around when I'm ready to do my lights I'll hit ya up but that prolly won't be for a bit yet.

Yeah, I attempted to keep it cheap, but parts make it expensive. Its not an easy job by any means either.
