I'm looking to replace the filter on my aem intake. Is there a certain size filter i'm supposed to get?? where would I find that out??? and where would be the best place to get one....hopefully at a local auto parts store, but i've seen some on the internet.

doubt it.. there's not much intake needed for the 3400 in a WAI.. short straight pipe.. filter.

AEM Charges really too much for an intake... Last time I asked in a shop, they told me it was 350$, I laughed and got out.
K&N sells good filters

I bought my filter on Summitracing.com
It's a K&N, and it fits really well in the engine bay and on a CAI. I have 2 of them ;)
Model number RU-2430
I recommemed it to another Aleromod memeber a few years back (I don't think he's a member any more) and he was very happy with the fit.

K&N filters are around 40 bucks..... you might be able to find a cheaper one..... but if you get the K&N, get the recharge kit too.....then you dont have to buy a new filter anymore. Cleaning your filter doesnt take too long. but when your done cleaning (with the cleaner shit they give you in the kit), let it sit for a few hours so all the water can dry. I let mine sit overnight, cause i just wanted to play it safe;) then you put the oil on the filter and let it soak into the filter for about 20 min. THEN YOUR DONE! easy as that. OH YEA, when you are rinsing the dirt off the filter, rinse the filter from the inside-out.....if you rinse from the outside going in you wont clean it as good. (sorry i keep talking, lol, just letting you know how easy it is to clean the filter instead of buying a new one and wasting money!:coolio:)

I actually got my AEM short ram from ebay and its wasn't expensive at all. Probably just search AEM short ram intake for 2.4 and you should find one.http://search.ebay.com/AEM-Short-Ram-intake-cavalier_W0QQ_trksidZm37QQcatrefZC6QQcoactionZcomp areQQcoentrypageZsearchQQcopagenumZ1QQfromZR10QQfs ooZ1QQfsopZ1QQftrtZ1QQftrvZ1QQmppfqyZAEMQ20ShortQ2 0RamQ20intakeQ20forQ202001Q20cavalierQQsabfmtsZ1QQ sacatZQ2d1QQsaobfmtsZinsifQQsaprchiZQQsaprcloZQQss PageNameZRC0021
This actually might be the one I got. I purchased the red one, I remember it was one for the 2.4 cavalier because it also fits the alero, looks real good.

yes as in the fact the company has been around forever. Cosmo racing being an "ebay seller brand", selling a knock off version of the AEM.
AEM coming with a lifetime warranty, knowing where it is made, USA, and Cosmo you going,.... um taiwan?

ya that only it's metal I think and it looks like the outside edge has been pounded down (It is a lot cleaner than that but thats just what I could come up with for imagery)

Get the 90 degree elbow out of silicone, it's better.

Well for the gains that you would see from a WAI I don't really think it matters all that much. How many people really get an intake soely for performance gains. Ya sure if ya got supporting mods (bigger tb, machined heads, cam, ported intake manni, headers etc..) then ok yup it's there for the performance aspect but without those all it's doing is lookin good and sounding good too. Untill I decide what direction I'm gonna take my motor (N/A or Boost) then ya form over function.

Perhaps you should stay away from your engine, and instead start looking into kung fu body kits loud stereos and neons? They're flashy.
