this wont be till i have the hid kit.
but my question is has anyone painted the chrome reflector things.(dont know what to call it) but when headlights are apart and bezal out the 2 chrome things left in the housing?
maybe use metal cast paint? i dont want to do this till i have hids since hids are brighter but will there be any problems?

I used regular Engine paint.

Looks good, but I only did one so far. Looking for a pass side headlight, so I can swap out the headlights from chrome to clear whenever I want

No, do not paint the reflector area! I used Duplicolor paint that mached body color. Used scuff pad and took off all the chrome finisch on the area that faces the front and then used adhesion promoter and sprayed. No problems whatsover.

Yes, the lighting didn't look too bad, but I used white. It gave it a nice glow

yeah, you might not want to do that. as that is the part that reflects the light forward onto the road. I noticed a huge difference in my turn signals, when i painted the bezels, you can barely see them now, the reflective areas are a huge help. even with HIDs I don't think you'd get much light onto the road

Painting the reflector area is a very bad idea and may get you tickets from the law. Your lights will not be bright enough if you paint the reflector area. You also might fail inspections.

well theres 1 good thing about indiana no inspections woohoo!!!!!:) and i was afraid of light output thats y i didnt want to attemt it with stock lights. i was going to use the metal cast paint lightly so it would still be shinny.
also as of tickets id get more then just for head lights
lets see illegal things on car: 2percent tint. taillights(not big enough also to low must be 14in off ground mines 12) license plate suppose to be like 20 in mine at the bottom is 12 . no muffler. tvs playing while driving. i think thats it hahaha oo and of couse the sound oridance laws (BS law)
