when u paint over chrome.. u need to scuff/sand it before anyways.

adhesion difference? If u paint over chrome itself it will flake off cuz its smooth surface nothing for the paint to bite/grab on.

If its powdercoated over chrome.. the powdercoater will use a bead blaster to rough up the surface before they put powder on it. But doing it on top of the chrome they will have no warranty on it. Cuz its best to adhere to the raw surface.

what are you talking about specific? Painting/powdercoating over chrome surface or paint/powdercoating stuff to look like chrome?

Your original 1st post makes no sence to begin with so people are confused like usual.

If your spokes can separate from the wheel hoop, then u can get it powdercoated 2 tone (like leaving lip chromed while spokes are colored). If not then you either have to powdercoat the whole wheel, or get them painted and mask off wheel where u want to 2 color it or not have paint on them. Good thing about paint is you can leave ur tires on them when painting just mask them off. Powdercoating. .they have to hang up the wheel so you need the tires taken off first.

well i belive my rims are just simulated to look like the center comes out and i know powder coat would be better. but i want 2 colors red with black lip or black with red lip. what paint is recomended? and should i use an adhesion promoter?
and how long would it last?

lol zach if I may give you some advice, if you really want to sell the rims you have, get a digital camera that's higher then your 1.3 megapixel phone camera and take a few pictures of them.

uhhh.. the air ride don't bring you to stock height. It brings you to lowering spring height. So hitting a switch won't help too much.
