well, just got my car back, but now I have 3 horrible struts, 1 decent one and some not-so-great springs
I just want to eventually get all new ones and lowering springs too.

so far, the only ones i know about are the kyb(?) struts, and intrax and dropzone lowering springs.

kyb gr-2 gas struts is what ur thinking of..

and theres also Eibach spring which are my fave b/c it doesnt drop your car as drastically. But thats all personal taste and opinion.

I'm going with Intrax or Sprint I heard Intrax had the lowest drop.

eibach are the springs your looking for, KYB AGX's are the struts.

heres the eibach pro kit

I don't mind getting used springs
theres usually someone selling some springs for fairly cheap on here grandamgt or ebay
I just wanna know if theres any other good struts besides the kyb-agxs

AGX's are the best on the market right now, but you could always get the GR-2's they are good aswell

GR-2 is a decent value. Its what most get.
and if hes just gonna get 'used' springs i doubt hes after the best on the market =/

where can i get gr2s

well heres my thinking,
I don't have a whole lot of money, and I'd rather get good struts now and some not all that great springs
Springs are easier to change than struts

hey i just wanted to know, when you change your front struct assembly.. meaning all of it.. so you have to do an alignment on the car or no? mostly speaking of aleros... if someone knows, then please let me know. thanks

when you change the struts (and not the springs) then no, you do not have to get it aligned.

and if you change both?

when you change the springs of your car, it lowers everything. when everything gets lowered, some of the parts start to tilt inwards causing the bad camber of your wheel which needs to be aligned to get that fixed.

okay, one more thing
since I'm going to change my struts and springs, I should probably just do some other stuff to make my car handle better so I was thinkin sway bars and strut tower braces. Is there anything else?

when you change the struts (and not the springs) then no, you do not have to get it aligned.

Both my mechanic and the folks at GrandAmGT.com believe any removal of the strut assembly requires a re-alignment.

I don't know the details behind it, but I can believe it. If alignments are measured in tenths and hundredths of degrees, this sounds plausible to me.
