Can anyone give some advice on how to swap a stock am/fm radio in a super old Ford car to a cd player unit? im looking to help a friend hook up subs in his 82' Ford Fairmont.. (yes i know lol ghetto car) the problem is that i dont know how to install a cd player if there is no harness from an existing stock cd player. It is just a radio. Can this be done??

One other question for those who know stuff about subwoofers.. i have a "blown" spider in my 12" type E. What does that look like and how can i fix it? thanks

so the radio is hardwired? you'd have to cut the wires off the radio, and splice them into the new wire harness. (someone in the car audio biz will explain more)

and the sub you just need to replace. you can't fix a blown sub.

...and to the picky audio gurus... i know you CAN fix a blown sub.... but its not something anyone other then a specialist can do. avg joe schmo can't.
