OK first off is it behind the glove box, or under the dash under the glove box? How much is it? Where do I find it? Auto Zone, and Advanced don't have it listed on thier websites :(

I think it's time to replace mine. The windows fog up like crazy and it'a getting worse. I read on teh net that the reason could be a dirty or clogged air cabin filter. It would make sense since the air for the deforster comes from the outside.

Anyway, I never replaced it and figured I'd try it.

I do that, and it doesn't help.

All the way hot, all the way cold, half way works a little bit, but not totally :(

Mine sometimes get worse at first when I use the blowers, but then they clear up. 2 things you should do:

1) when it's dry and warm in the car (preferably when the outside temps are warm and dry, too), use paper towels (NOT cloth towels) & Windex to wipe down all of the interior window surfaces. You might have to go over everything a 2nd or 3rd time to ensure all residue is off. Wipe off any Windex residue as well.

2) After the windows are clean, use Fog X Anti-Fogging on all interior window surfaces. Do NOT use regular Rain-X on the inside or it will make your fogging even worse!

so where is the heater core located at? is that something that is covered by the factory warranty?

I think it's behind the dash on the passenger's side. It was a PITA in my Camaro so I had a shop replace mine.

Its located behind the radio....around that area but a bit lower. Its inside a black plastic casing. You have to disconect the two hoses from under the hood cause the heater core goes through the fire wall then to some hoses.

oh ok. is this covered under factory waranty?

Usually, as some have indicated, it is a heater core leak that causes this. it may not be leaking much at all ... not even enough to drip ... but that's all that is needed to cause this fogging. Also, a leak around the windshield will also cause this fogging to happen.

^^ I think that's my problem.

Been using the heat and deforst now for a few days, flust blast, and nothing's happening like that, plus the windows will fog up with the car just sitting there with nobody in the car

I think mines leaking at the heater core. fogging like you guys said plus I still loose coolant really slow, after fixing all my LIMG and check all hoses in engine bay 2 weeks ago. 7 1/2 yr old car, 150k miles.. i guess it had its life.
