1)did anyone ever really solve why many aleros don't turn over well? mine has been doing it alot lately and its driving me nuts. a guy i work with says its probably my plugs, but i only have 56k on it... they couldn't be dying already...

2)and the large white case, just to the left of the brake pedal... whats in that? and why doesn't mine stay in place. it keeps sliding down and hitting my foot. how/what is suppose to lock that up into place?

3) I seem to get into a fist fight with my windows lately. If i have my defroster on, my side windows fog up, and my hands go numb (bad circulation) So i turn on my vents, and my front windows start to fog up in minimal time... same if i turn on my side vents to defog my side windows (front window fogs up) is this just all bad design? and anyone know a good product to prevent fogging?

I know rainx makes some stuff to prevent it. Whats the difference between that an regular rainx??

about 8" left of the brake pedal (up in the dash a little) there is a large white case with a lot of wires going into it. i assume it has something to do with the computer in the car. (just from the number of wires going in and out) and mine doesn't stay clipped or held in its housing. it slides out. i can push it back up with my foot, and it stays for a second or two, and falls back out again.

go take a look... i can't have the only alero with this thing...

That's your PCM. The white things and the busses on the end of it.

Push it up really far and it will lock into place.

Don't you have a panel under the dash that covers everything?

You might have a window leak. I do and that is why my windows fog up

I tried pushing it really far up in.. it locks for like 3 seconds... or one small bump in the road.. then a *CLUNK* as it falls back out.

and while i'm bitching.. i've also noticed when i'm driving and have a decent crossbreeze, my passanger door actually pulls out away from the car, producing a slight breeze into the cabin. At first i thought it was the windshield leaking, but when it starts whistling (like a window of a house thats open slightly during a windy day) i can get my entire fingertip into the seam between the door and the insulation at the top center....

i'm not sure how but i do know that the doors can be adjusted to pull in more. also, since our cars are getting older, the seals are wearing out. there's no un-doing the damage without replacing them but you can slow it down by using the silicone based lubricant specified in the manual which helps slow dryrot and helps them maintain their flexability.

as for the white box, i think its time to pull out the trusty roll of duck tape :)
