Battery light

Couldn't find this in a search... battery light has been coming on intermittently. In my other cars, this usually indicates the alternator has crapped out and the car will die shortly after the light comes on. WIth the alero it only stays on for about a minute after I start the car, then it goes away. Car has been running fine and this has been going on for a few weeks. Battery seems ok, just had it checked on the weekend.

Anyboby else had this problem? I'm hoping it's a glitch before I shell out the dough for a high current alternator. Any trouble shooting tips for checking the alternator?

did you get the alternator checked too? usually at autozone or whatever if they can check your battery they can check your alternator for you too
