Ok, I received my strut tower braces and I tried to put the front one this afternoon, but I had a problem when trying to fit the mounts on the top plate. It seems that the 3rd screw on each strut top mount arent long enough (the ones that are on the fender side) to have a grip with the additional brace mount.

Any of you had this problem? what are possible solutions? Can I just put a longer screw there? Are they really that important, could I ditch them and rely only on the two other nuts that are directly bolted to the strut?

I would buy some other screw if I knew what size to get. I know the top part is 1/2, but 1/2 screws arent all the same size and tickness. Anyone know what size it is?

Also, I know I'll need some additional screw when doing the back one, what size of nut do I need?

Edit : God after reading this, my lack of english is catching on me... lol but still cant find a better way to explain it, sry

You're saying the bolt farthest to the side of the vehicle is not long enough for the nut to screw on sufficiently?

Weird. Nope, my mounts aren't that thick, but they did send me the wrong mount for one side that I had to have a customs shop make using a plasma cutter.

Exactly, it isn't long enough, I think I'll have either to find a longer bolt or to maybe try to sand the mounts around that bolt in order to fit.
