Need an opinion on something

I got in my car today and noticed that I had no HEAT! In 0° weather I need heat. I been having problems with my HVAC control so I am figuring on just buying a new one. but it is for a 1999 Alero, and I have a 2000 Alero. I am wondering if this will work for me, or should I wait and look for a 2000 part to come around.

it's probably your heater core, not your control knobs.

Yeah with a 2k I think heater core to with maybe a combination of the Blow motor resistor.

no warm air
no fan blowing
