I am not to into the tuning thing so i dont know much about it..........but......... can you use your tuner on someone elses car? If so if i show up to ASS is there a possibility that somebody can delete my O2 codes and give me an update. Maybe change a VIN number for me or something.

Lol.. if they know how to use HPTuners, it does cost a certain amount to use it on each car you tune, but to change a VIN number, not sure on that one... o_O...

Autozone or anyone with an OBDII tool can clear codes. I can program VINs in Hyundais and Kias, but I stay away from that, due to the fact that changing them is against the law. If you have a legit reason to change a VIN, go to a dealer. They have to have the tool that does it in case they change an ECU or something that has a VIN programmed.

That's a good reason, if you needed another PCM.
Call you're local dealer

jackal my car is a 2000, I am just trying to see how minimal I can go, Im buying headers but i dont want o2 bungs, I will go 2.5" mandrel and redo my dual layout. I am going with a dynomax straight through muffler where the resonator normally is and then y-pipe after gas tank then break off the y to my duals and I dont want any restructions. Plus this PCM i have keeps throwing the O2 codes but i have replaced both of the sensors and it did the same thing when my buddy had it in his grand am so if i delete the codes all together I wont throw the ses light.

if you go to your dealer with a pcm from another car, say a junkyard pcm, they will only change the vin if it is programmed with the oem software for that car, so a dealer is a bad idea.

DHP tends to lock their PCM's, you may be out of luck.
I can flash your stock computer for whatever you want, but not the other if it's locked.

my car is a 2000 as well. i dont think its a good idea to go totally o2'less. i deleted the codes for my downstream since i dont have one but i still run the upstream (pre-cat) sensor.

i know you CAN but the point is im buying a house right now and just flat out of money for now. So if someone with hp tuners can just help with a couple things that will work out for me. The vin issue really isnt that big of a deal just want atleast one O2 gone.
