My car needs some fresh rubber and I have been looking at the Continental ExtremeContacts.
I was wondering if anyone here has had experience with them either good or bad.
TIA

i would stay away from any continentals. i work at a vw dealership and they are part of our tire program. most of the people who get them have a set wore out in 10-15 thousand miles. those might be a little different but i would stay away from them if i were u

I have Continentals on my Aurora and the only complaint I have is quality of traction in snow. 35K and lots of tread left.

I've have them on the Alero and my dad has them on his Q45.. They're a great all around tire. I would and have bought them again.

i got them on my alero now. i dont like them, on my old truck i had yokohama's and those were awesome. the tires on my car now were put on last january and i need new tires soon. the tires are almost bald and they just dont seem to grip the corners well enough for me.

Hmm.. My first pair of front Conti tires lasted about 24,000 miles (i never rotated them). I can't say that my originals were that good after 17,000.

I was thinking about getting those...tirerack.com rated those pretty high dry trac was rated at 8.5 out 10 and deep snow was rated at 7 or so, and at the time they were only $79 or $82/tire (now they're $90) but i guess they're not that good..so looks like i'll have to settle with my kumho ecsta asx's, which are pretty good in the rain and not too bad in snow....
