okay well i just got back from a company that powdercoats to choose the color of my engine. I dropped off my timing chain housing, Quad 4 IDI cover, and cam shaft covers. I wanted it to match my oil pan but the closes they had was LollyPop Blue. I saw the color and I was like dam thats HOT, my girl also said thats a nice blue. So my engine is going to be lollypop blue:p
They said it'll take bout a week since they have other projects so I'll post pics when i get them back

heres some pics to get a general idea of what it'll look like, except the HO manifold will be chrome

its gonna cost about $120, cause first they have to sand blast the parts then powder coat it a silver color then the lollypopblue.

that looks very nice. how much did the powder coat cost?

AftermathAlero
02-19-2008, 01:39 PM
powdercoat is cheap nowadays. Only costed me when i got my 2 valves and upper intake manifold done was 150 bucks. (due to the color was gold anodize). But normal regular colors would been like 80-100 bucks.

Looking good dohc!

hey pimptress they had lollypop pink!

but that pic isnt my engine bay just for a little FYI, thats just a pic I posted to show how it will look once its done. they want to charge me 60 to powdercoat plus 10 each piece to sandblast so about 120 or so.

If you're going with bronze, go with an all bronze rim, no chrome lip. It'll look better on a white car.

i hate bronze rims

i also don't like the color choice you picked, and hate the way the engine bay in the original post looks... if it were all polished chrome would look amazing. lollipop blue... gross. especially knowing you aren't going to polish the ribs and lettering

I dont know about that, i think a supercharger looks better in an engine bay than some blue powdercoat. You should have got rims first and then color matched the bay to the wheels.
