I was wondering,
Does anyone know of a site, maybe a dealership service site where I can get a quote for the links that lift your windows. Some of you may remember my windows don't work T_T since the links, not the regulator, are shattered. I found out they are about 15 bucks a piece. Now I just need a quote for installation.

e-mail a local pontiac dealership and they usually will send a quote back.

Do it yourself. They are easy.

lol,
I'm worried of that. My dad offered to help, though. So I may end up doing it myself. The part I'm worried about is how hard it will be :P
Any steps would be appreciated! :)

Its a couple steps that i dont feel like typing out the haynes manual. But i found something on gagt.com that might help. http://www.grandamgt.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6910&highlight=window+clip you will only need to go to the removing the window step not to the regulator. Then if you look at the window when it comes out you will see the white clips glued to the window. Remove them with a scraper and a heat gun then reglue the new ones on.

So basically, only two bolts are holding the windows? Take those out and then the window will come out. Then insert the new links, lower the window, connect it to the regulator and voila. I'm not sure if that is right, but I'll also go to Autozone and check out Haynes Alero manual. Thanks!

Thats all there is too it once the door panels are off but it isnt as easy as unbolting the window and rebolting it. The clips are glued on there with some badass stuff. You will need a heat gun and a razor blade or other sharp scraper to force them off.

The cables that go around the four spinners are ok, but one of the spinners is broken, also the thing that holds the window is broken as well. What is a good way to make a home adaption to fix it instead of spending a hundred+ dollars on it?

If you are talking about the regulator being f'ed i would repair it with a new part otherwise everytime it binds up it will break one of your window clips. Do it right the first time and you won't need to worry about it for a while.

No,
The Reg is ok, but the cable that goes around the windows is loose. Basically, it isn't holding the window. Seems like the things that holds the cable isn't there.
