i have the pacesetter kit in my bed room waiting to go on my car. I don't know the gains I not going to dyno my car before and after.

the borla kit is for a grand am so it will fit as well. that kit is SS so that is why it cost $800. I got my kit for $240 shipped

use the search button there has been a lot of talk on here of exhaust. and try to keep you questions combined to one thread

exhaust when on yesterday. went smoth till I found out the parts store gave me the wrong o2 sensor :rolleyes2: . I went to car quest and used my buddys account and got the right one ($65). the exhaust and the cat sit great. I also found some places say that the pacesetter kit is 2.25 " when the whole kit is 2.5" except to the tail pipes. the car sounds good no and there a noticeable improvements to hte acelerition in now pulls petty go from 50 mph and up also feels stronger off the line. for the price of this kit ( mine costed $240) I dont think you can beat it

wait, so you're sure all the piping is 2.5 inch except for....
the dual muffler outs?

Dumb question. I got a 3.4 V6, and it has a single outlet on the left, with the appropriatte cutout in the rear bumper. If I got an exhaust system like this, with dual outlets, how would I get it to fit right? Would I just simply cut out a section on the right side of the bumper??

yes I cut mine a little and used a heat gun and warmed up the bumper and pushed it up.

the whole thing is 2.5 except for the two outlets on the muffler. I thought it was 2.25 I read that some were but I don't know were.

Had my cutout done right

Went to the bodyshop and they took a cutout from another GM car's scrap bumper, cut, and molded it into mine and repainted the entire bumper.

I have pics of the finished project in my cardomain. Take a look, It looks stock.

People always say to me "I didn't know the Alero came with dual exhaust" ;)
