It was the Alero.
"The very last Oldsmobile model to be phased out was the Alero. The very last Alero (and last Oldsmobile period) rolled off the Lansing MI assembly line on April 29th 2004. "

2004 Update: The last Oldsmobile, a burgundy-looking (officially described as metallic cherry red) Alero sedan, rolled off an assembly line on April 29, 2004 in Lansing, Michigan - the same city where the brand was born. It is on display in Lansing's R.E. Olds Transportation Museum.

Your not going to get it, they dont issue 2 plates of the same, not matter what states your in.

Wrong paulyb, he can get the same name on his plate from his state. I have seen other Olds plates duplicated by many states. If it has already been taken in his state by another car than he will not get it.
I don't know what year your car is but I don't think it is appropriate if it is not a 2004 at least.
