I wanted Calgary to win, the second round will be easier for the Red Wings now....
jk, that series should be intense as well.
Hmm... Easier in the sense that they'll only have to play six games instead of seven? :)
Thank you Mr. Gelinas and anyone who may have been there cheering...

I just got to work because I was at that game last night.. I thought I was gonna suffer a friggen heart attack in OT, but Mr. Clutch pulled through for us in OT again!!
After the game was INSANE.. the cops had to block off the streets to cars cuz of all the people partying in them... girls flashing.. fireworks goin off in the street...people hanging out the windows, guys doing burnouts, dudes playing roller hockey through the traffic... it took me over an hour to drive one block. It was soo intense. Too tired to think right now though.

I wish I could have been at the Dome, people musta lost their damn minds when Gelli popped that one in, I still can't believe it. What a stressful game to watch, I couldn't imagine being a player. I hafta admit, I didn't think they take out the Wings, but I'm glad I was wrong.

GO FLAMES GO! I still love my leafs but those flames are awesome. Such entertaining hockey. Also, since I lived in Windsor for 4 years (across the river from detroit) I hate the wings soooooo much!

From the way the Leafs played last nite, it almost seemed that they were lookin forward to the nice weather this weekend so they could tee up...
They should know that a comeback in the third period just doesn't cut it when you're playing Philly. Philly deserved to win - can't wait to see who whens between them and TB.

Remember a few years ago when everyone was on the Red Wing bandwagon?? How many of you broke your ankles jumping off the past few years B)
Anyways, I'd be upset but Calgary deserved to win. I'll cheer them on now (as Canada's last hope).

I never was, but yeah...I remember. :)
The Flames totally deserved it. I told a friend of mine that Detroit didn't deserve to win the series because they gave up two game winning goals (Niemenen and Gelinas) by leaving the crease wide open and letting two Flames stand on each side of the goalie with only one D-man between them...can't be in two places at once. Where were the other four skaters? I know that sounds harsh, but playoff hockey is that fragile. You just cannot do that, let alone twice.

The Gelinas goal was Hatcher's fault. He should have taken Gelinas rather than stand 3 feet away. I'm not a huge Cujo fan but he did all he could that game to keep Detroit in contention to win.

I've always thought cujo was overrated, but was becoming a believer fast sitting in the 'Dome for that game. He was absolutely stellar, and gave the wings a GREAT chance to win. Just as Kippy does for us night in and night out :D
