Cars like a boat

I was showing my friend my alero the other day and i put my foot on my exhaust tip and the car moved, all i did was rest it on it and it moved. So i Pushed down on it(the tip has a solid mount to the bumper) and the car started to bounch up and down like a boat on water, so i tried the same with my dads taurus and it didnt bounce nearly as much. I mean it wasnt like an inch of travel i mean it acts like a water bed. So my guess is the struts but i dotn really know.

Yeaaah ive seemed to have stumbled across that fact.


Now is its the struts?

You can blame the struts if you want but you plugged your own tailpipe and you want to know why your car jerks. Its because its not exhaling.

If you think your struts are bad have a friend drive by you and tell you if the wheel bounces fast on bumps or if it seems to grab the road more.

ANother test is to stop abrutly and if you car has a lot of dip in the front end then yes its the struts

I put my foot ON the tip, and pushed down and the car did its lil thing. And yes it dsent exactly nosedive but it does dip town when i stop. soooo ill get working on struts
