Alright, so it's clear that pickins are slim on sway bars at this point. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems that Mantapart, with their glorious reputation :rolleyes2: , seems to be the last bastion of sway bars for us. So my question is this. I have a 99 GLS with the sport suspension package. The car has 245k on it. To what degree to sway bars deteriorate and wear out? Since I am tearing apart the entire suspension, and I do mean entire, should I replace them, and if so, would the hassle of dealing with Mantapart be worth any benefits I would see over the sport suspension pieces I could get from GM?

^^ x2

With that many miles anything will be an improvment. It's not so much the sway bars, but the bushings that wear out.

You still might be able to find aftermarket sway bars on ebay or something. Try Summit and Jegs too.

For a car with that kind of mileage i would not drop the coin for new bars. I would just replace the bushings.
