I'm in the market for a 17" wheel/tire set and I've found the one I think I'm going to buy, but I'm not sure if this combo will fit with the offset etc. Here's the links:

For those that cant/dont want to look at links, the tire is 255/40/17 and the wheel is 17x8 with an offset of 40mm.
I want to be able to get the widest possible rubber for the wheel that I can and I have read numerous posts of alero owners using 255/40/17 on 17x8 wheels but the offset is my main issue. To any wheel/tire gurus-would these fit?

Those are sweet looking rims, good choice!! A 40mm offset will be just fine. A 255/40-17 tire should actually be mounted on a minimum 8.5" wide rim. You'll be better off with 245/40-17 tires.

Thank you brother, i will go with the 245s. yea man bronzemist ftmfw-if you dont have tint, go get some asap, it makes the car look 100 times better. I love having to use the excuse "i need new wheels so i can get new brakes" to the gf since im doing the corvette upgrade in a few weeks. I'll post some pics when I get everything done.
