Brake swap

Hate to bother you all again, but i was thinking today about that brake upgrade with the vette calipers and stuff, why cant you just use the whole camaro assembly rather than vette calipers and camaro caliper brakets? Cant you just use the camaro calipers, brakets and rotors? I can find these at the yard and have my dad just about replace them with new parts where he works.
