anyone know what bulb is in the center console cubby under the radio and how to change it? any pics?

the bulb size is 74. to change it, youll have to remove the entire radio dash trim. (thats the black plastic thing that is around the radio and that holds the climate control buttons) This piece is hold in place by clips, just use a flat screwdriver and carefully put it btw the dash and trim then try to get the trim out, it should pop up clips by clips, be careful not to pry too hard as the trim may crack or break.

Then after this piece is out, behind it on the cubby hole area, you'll see the socket of the bulb, pointing downward. twist it to get it out.

Now, this bulb isnt easy to get outta there without breaking it. I almost got blind the first time, being a dumbass. The bulb is too small to take it out with fingers. DO NOT USE A PAIR OF PLIERS directly on the bulb. Thats what I did, it exploded into hundred of little pieces that went everywhere in the car and in my face. Best way to do it, is placing a cloth over the bulb, then using long nose over the cloth and grabbing the bulb, that way, if the bulb explodes, the pieces will stay in the cloth.

The chances are you will break the bulb, but maybe not.

Installation is the reverse of removal.

just standard 2 wire connections correct? i dont have to unscrew anything to get that trim off great i thought i did!
