How do you get to the oil filter?

On the 2.2 engine, how do you remove the cap to remove the oil filter?

You just loosen the black plastic cap, it has a big hex on the top of it. There is a special socket made, but I usually just use a large wrench.

Thanks Cliff, got it. This is the 1st oil change I'm doing on this car, just got it last week. Fortunately I had a "1 and a quarter inch" wrench, but I had to remove the battery to be able to get it in there. I'll buy a socket for the next time.

Wow, your wrench must be pretty huge then. I don't have any clearance issues with mine like that.

16" long, I picked up a socket for under $6.00 at AutoZone for future oil changes.
