I don't believe so.

How much are you willing to pay? How light do you want to go?
I'm sure you could get blanked rims and then have someone drill the bolt pattern for the Alero. Again, it comes down to how much you want to spend.

Motegi Traklite lightweight wheels would be the way to go, but they're $250-350 per wheel.

Sure am. You probably had a good 800 lbs on your way back from Lansing with all those quarters I gave you, so you know how it feels. :)

yeah depends on your definition of cheap, the motegis are nice but pretty sure they didn't have a fitment at the time that I liked......
i picked these up through tire rack for like $750 for all 4 shipped to my house if I remember correctly, they are a 17x8 and are pretty light at 15.9lbs a piece...

Buddy Racing. P2 series.
Not exactly cheap.
Scratch that. Unless you going pro. don't get these. They don't even make them unless there a GB of 10 or more. Last GB was a group out of FL on WRXs.

maybe weight isnt the requirement your rims are missing for him.

I just looked...They used to be $220 a piece for 18's at 17.5lbs a piece. Now 5Zigen came out with an "updated" design for them, even though they're pretty close to identical, and they're $280 for 18x7.5 or $340 for 18x8.5. I was looking at maybe getting them in 18x8.5 with 255/35-18 tires, but now that the prices went up, I may just get the 18x7.5, stick with 225/40-18's and get some good sticky tires.

spilner, i'm gonna have to check out your car with those on it... i really like the looks of em.
if i ever did update my wheels, i know i'd go gunmetal color and that kinda style... just haven't seen that kind actually on a car.

I'm going to get them in silver, have them powdercoated gunmetal and keeping the polished silver lip.

^^ Now that sounds HOT!!!
I was kicking around redoing my rims with a powercoat of gunmetal, but the center cap won't match :(

I have no idea on the weight of them, but here's a link to someone selling a set of Work Esperio 02R (or RH evo C6, same thing) in 19x8.5 (basically, the OSV wheel) for $600 in NY.

i don't think a 19x8.5 would fit in the front, at least not looking good....

Centerline wheels are lightweight, attractive and some are even decently priced.

Really? I would've thought they would. I mean, a 225 tire has a 8.86" width (roughly)

Cheap + lightweight + don't look like ****
Rims? Do they exist?
That don't look like asterisks? --
****
That narrows it down quite a bit.....
Another thing to consider is the weight of the tires.
My stock GLS 16's weigh about 40 lbs per combo + or minus 1 or 2, depending on what tire is used.
The Malibu 9-spoke 15's I am using now with cheap Kumho's are about 35 lbs / combo. I looked at some better quality BFG's in the same size that were 3 lbs more.
After searching Tire Rack, the lightest tires I found were Sumitomos.
I bought some (215/60/15), and on the Malibu rims the combo weighs 33 lbs.
I realize there has to be a tradeoff in structural strength here, even though the manufacturer claims otherwise. But I gotta say, the car zips along at cruising speeds with a lot less effort. Like wearing track shoes instead of boots.
Not that I really expect them to last too long, but I go thru them pretty quick anyway. :)

true but the biggest thing to consider is offset, both scott and I know that fitting a 8" without sticking out or rubbing against the strut is rough, I can't even imagine trying to fit an 8.5" rim without it sticking out and looking like shit....
Lets look at it this way
On the green alero, I had 17x8 bullit wheels that had a 29.5 offset. They were just a hair too far out of the fenderwell and pretty damn close to the strut on the inside (one inch or so)
Using a wheel offset calculator if the 19x8.5 wheels have a low offset like a 25 they may fit on the inside with 2mm less clearance than the bullit wheel but they would also stick out an extra 10mm, too far in my opinion. If they have a high offset like a 45 they will most likely rub the strut because you have 22mm less space on the inside.
That is why i looked good and hard for my new wheel, the 17x8 will allow me to put a big footprint with a 255 tire and with a +32 offset they should fit perfect in the front and I'll probably run a 3/4 or 1 inch spacer in the rear........
that explain everything?

Ehh, it kinda explains things. The only thing that confuses is that a 255 tire is 10" wide anyways.

They are wedsport tc-005, 17x8 with a +32 offset, good luck finding them though. They have been discontinued and I got the last set that tirerack had, over a year ago, and I don't have a picture because they have never been mounted on the car.....
