hello,
does anyone know if it matters if a pump motor comes
out of a different year car?
i have the 2002 3.4 and i need an abs pump motor.
they have cheap ones on ebay, but most years do not match.
TIA.

You actually need the whole motor, or just the EBCM (the electronic part attached to it)..
Either way, they should be the same for 99-00 and then 01-05

you're having a problem with the cruise? Are the SES/SVS lights on?
(I specified the year ranges in the above post too)

this goes way back..
short story,
i hit a dear, car was at the body shop next day.
got her back, few weeks later, svs came on.
then all different lights came on at random times.
track off, abs off, svs, ses.
i could go a week or more without a code.
(then hit a puddle, throwin codes all over)
i thought it might of been the hubs, they are all good.
thought it was the speed sensor, came out good.
now, mostly, only the abs off light is on.
(after she was in the shop for over 3 weeks)
any tips/hints please?
Thank you!!

You might have a compromised wire connection somewhere. It's possible the EBCM is bad, but can't say for sure.

ok, i found a pump motor online for $49.95 shipped.
i will start with that..
then look at the EBCM.
THANK YOU!!!

you'll likely get the EBCM and Pump in one piece on a 01-04. The older models had it as two separate components.
