Over Heating Problem

heres a good one..... changed my oil today. took the car out for a drive. i get back and its dumping dex all over the place....

i cant see any busted hoses or such. so im clueless.

any ideas?

Thermostat?, or is the cap on the overflow bottle tightened all the way.

My car did this just idling in the driveway, They replaced the thermostat and bottle cap when they fixed my gasket leak, havent had the problem since. Is your fan kicking on????? That's all I can think of............

well i did happen to unscrew the cap. maybe i didnt tighten it i dunno. ill go check it out.

i bet you it was your cap.... at one time my cap on the reservoir was stripped out, it just wouldn't tighten, in turn my car continually ran hot and all my coolant was evaporating away... new cap solved problem..
