Hey all
been awhile since ive been on here.
I was jus wondering if anyone could hhelp me out.
I was changing the deck in my car to put a new one in. I was taking the old alpine deck out and noticed that the yellow ( battery lead wire) connector was missing ( between the alpine and aftermaket harness) and as i was removing it , it hit something and shot out a little smoke from the wire.
After that she was dead, checked stereo fuses and they were still good.
so i put the stock deck back in and that doesnt work either. but when my nightime lights come on,
any help guys would be soo awesome
i hate not having m,usic

You dead shorted it. The wires come apart as it wasnt done properly.

Check the fuse box fuses in the cabin first. If they are not blown inside start checking the one sin the engine compartment.

I would verify that the radios are indeed working first then start hunting fuses. Easy to do just hook right to the battery and see if they light up.

sounds like a fuse to mee too or a broken-disconnected wire.

Well.. this thread was dead.... but not buried yet. so is it technically a zombie thread, or just resuscitated?
