I'm looking into custom headlights and weighing my options. I can get dual projectors with HID on the lows and halogen on the highs. I also can get dual angels eyes but with our headlights being so close together, I get the feeling that four angel eyes would be kind of retarded.

Pretty much guaging interest. If you could get your own custom lights done, what setup would you run.

makes me kinda wonder what angel eyes w/ led backlighting would look like....

you'd have a light ring (would probably have to put some kind of dark coloring on the back of the ring) then the rest of the reflective plate inside the headlight would show the led color? would it work, and would it look decent? hmmm

I think it would look pretty badass if done right.

there are some guys on here who have led backlit headlights. Obviously this doesn't work when the headlight is on, but i don't think the angel eyes do either....

you put one or two small leds back near the headlight, facing backwards (so they are pointed toward the reflective part) so when they are on, the whole headlight lights up as that one color. Now, if you were to put a set of angel eyes in front of that, you'd have a white light ring around the front, but then whatever color you chose for the led, behind that....

but you'd probably have to put some kind of dark paint or something on the back of the angel eye, so it doesn't also over power the led's light.

picture compliments of headstrong.

the camera adds a little brightness that isn't quite there (due to long exposure in night shots) but if you had angel eyes in front of that... it might look pretty cool

making plans to get my spare headlights to the guy. Here's the list of how the setup should run. Told him I'd scratch the whole idea if there's no way to make the retrofit look clean & uniform. Didn't want it to look like someone just screwed a projector in there. No photo of the halogen High beam. Just told me it would be Valeo

^^I know, I know. But I have three sets of spares when I was attempting it myself. If I try again, it'll be the fifth attempt. And (all thanx to God), I'm finally working with a good enough income where I can indulge a little. Something extra to go along with the OSV kit. The only project I'm taking on myself is running a switch to the low beams so I can turn them on manually and leave the angels automatic. And depending how the overall look will be, I'll mold a pair of angel eye fog lights into the bumper. Still debating whether or not to tap the angels into the turn signals

IMO, 4 angels, but only 2 lit at a time would be a nice project. ie: when high beams are on, angel eyes in the low beam sockets turn on, and vice versa. Not sure how that would work, but I know it's possible....and would look nice.

you could use a single relay to trigger that option. easy to setup.

The wires for the lows are white/orange, green/yellow for the highs. You would just splice high angel eyes into the lows, & vice versa. But that's kinda pointless IMO. The angels are gonna be running constantly anyway at night. With the lows on, you won't even see its halo. Same as when the highs are on.

the size of projectors they will fit??

the size of the low beam housings??

the size of the low beam housing, and the high beam housing while we're at it. lol.

i still dont understand why someone would want their lows as hid with projectors and their HIGHS as halogen.. if it were me id prefer it the opposite way. highs projected. and low normal halogens..
