OK we have about 2.5 million threads on A-mod about the cost per gallon, so I figured, why not start a thread on total highest sale of your gas.

I'll start:

LA1 Alero $50.50
Delta 88 with 1968 olds 350 $76.00
Qr25de Nissan Altima (2.5 liter) $81.35

$80.10 for my Aurora. I don't let the Alero run down that much so it is hard to say.

I don't feel so bad dropping $69.00 in the Cherokee now, seeing what some of you have dropped on a tank.

i really dont see the difference in not letting your tank get low.. that means you're just filling up more often- wouldnt that basically equal up to the same amount spent in whatever time?

how big of a tank does that altima have, and what kind of mileage is it getting?
my wife is thinking she wants one for her next car, so i'm curious as to what you guys think of it.

I just spent $48.60 today on gas... The car was about empty, so it's really not all that bad compared to others on here. Still really high though.

the highest i've paid was about 40, i hate doing that..( went just under a quater tank)
It aint right, a car with a 15 gallon tank shouldn't cost that much......

Midgear, the difference of letting the gas tank get too low, is that with cars that have an in-tank fuel pump, fuel is used to assist in cooling the fuel pump. If you do not have enough fuel, you run a higher risk of your fuel pump overheating, and messing up.

thanks, but i'm more interested in what it actually gets as opposed to what the sticker says. as well as how well he and his wife actually like it.

The best advice I can give is to get a SAMS CLUB membership, if only for the gas. Fiancee' made me get one this weekend. I'm telling ya, their 93 costs less than regular at your everyday station. Shaved 15 bux off my normal fill-up.

I put $58.something in the MINI a couple weeks ago with close to 450 miles on the trip odo. Calculated 32.6mpg I think. That was the tank that I hit 100mph a couple times - isn't terrible efficient up there.

If Corzine got his way, it would have been cheaper.

Would have been even funnier to watch the people in Central and North Jersey trying to figure out how to work the gas pumps

I like self serve better. I want to pump my own gas ;)

It's going down becasue "demand" is down but in a few weeks they will say "demand" is up and the price will go close to if not over $5.

After all the "demand" was so high around here in May that the price of gas would go up 20 cents every day, in some cases increase would happen twice a day.

The bullshit words are in quotes ;)

Yeah pretty much what I said :rolleyes2:

The one I love is the potical commerical blaming Obama for the high gas prices.

I said that if a Dem gets in the White House on Jan 20th, by Jan 22nd they are blaming him for all the problems left on the desk by bush :rolleyes2:

I have an 06 G6 GT sedan that i took to San Antonio this past weekend... took $65 to fill and we averaged 41mi per gallon. Surprised the hell outta me and was also cruising between 75 and 80 the entire trip... 300miles and only used half a tank. Also using 93 octane.
