So anyhow...

Im on Vacation, just got to the campground after driving for almost 2 hours... Over 100 miles away from home, no tools!

Pulled into my campsite, went to put windows up. Insert bunch of cracking and funny noises followed by my cursing and a nice WTF???

So after a 35 minute drive to Walmart to get a phillips driver I discovered my window sash on the back side of the window came off the glass (again) and the other plastic piece is out of the track. The window wouldnt hold itself up.

My question is... WTF do I buy now? lol. Is it the window regulator or just a matter of reassembling it and using more glue on the sash?

I just got in the door about 2 hours ago. Im tired and pissed at the Alero. It also was running funny, like a surge. It was very annoying.

Im about 2 steps from dumping it off and buying a Dodge Caliber...

exact same thing happened to me, except the sash was actualyl damanaged from the window falling, long story. from the sound of it you just need to replace the plastic piece and reglue it. is this waht broke?

I don't know if you have a two door or a four but I'm sure you taking about the passange front. You just need the window guides (white plastic clip deals) and the window sash.

gmpartsdirect.com can get bent as far as Im concerned.

$19 for the guide clip, $11 to ship it?

$7 for the sash, $1.50 to ship it...

What a crock of shit.

I obviously need the guide clip. I can reglue the sash- its not broken. just broken off the glass.
