For three consecutive years I’ve had the same problem which basically is, that my front top plates bushing are rattling when the car goes over road cracks or bumps and therefore needs to be greased or changed due to our (Canadian) extreme weather conditions
(-10 F winter/ 90 F summer) But this year, I lowered my coils and GM says it will no longer cover the charges to fix my top plate bushing problems.

Does anyone have that problem?
Is there a way to avoid that problem?

Please provide feedback ….

Thanks

A few have had issues like yours. Make sure the new springs (I assume they are new, and that you did not just cut the old ones) are seated correctly, and give it a little time to settle. The new springs may solve your problem.

I actually never had this problem with a stock setup, but heard it as soon as I went with my Intrax springs.

I found that it was rather difficult to get the top nut down far enough to prevent this "rattle" that you could hear upon strut compression. It took me 3 tries to get it "tight" enough so that the noise went away.

I have even taken apart the strut after 9 months to look for wear on the top plate and have seen no problems. I think that once you get this dialed in correctly again then you should have no worries.
