I have really become oblivious to my own car. Seems the leather around the air bag started to curl up like a piece of fried bologna that had just been flipped over. My fiancee had to point it out to me. Frustrated, i just ripped it clean off. Actually liked the finish underneath, so I got my heat gun, butter knife, soapy water, and steelwool pad and went to town. Finished it off with some Armor-All. Have more pics but Photobucket's server keeps crashing on me. Only problem is with the leather gone, the center air vent doesn't sit uniform. But I could give a lovely eff. Been looking at that ripple for almost half a decade. Glad it's gone. And sorry for the huge pics. I don't post photos that often

haha. it gives it a nice... reptilian look. odd, but unique.
also, i kinda like the look of the grill on your vent. it would look horrible in mine, but on yours it looks eerily in place.

Its still better than that guy that painted his interior pieces with rock texturized paint
The other day I was talking with a guy that has a 2008 sebring and I noticed that the dash was in rough plastic finish. It looked a lot like cisco's dash. Man they build car cheap today. Even my mother's Acura RDX is all rough plastic inside on the doors ans dashboard.

Man, what you talking bout a rash. That's pure gator skin. Called the dealership and confirmed it...HA
It's the same material as the compartments on the doors. When I find the time, I'll get it glassed or something. Get it all done up to match the OSV and long overdue new pair of shoes. Oh yeah, and I guess i'll get the windshield fixed too. What the hell, ya know?

Mine is peeling too. I wanna glass it but its too much work. Thinking about a swap but its not on the priority list at the moment.

I'm going to be pulling mine off too eventually.... I've been looking at that site that does the hydro dipping or whatever it is, and get some pieces done by them.... The rest, I'll be taking to a shop to have painted.

How hard is it really to fiberglass the dash? I know you have to make like 10000 holes and do a lot of sanding... but compared to the alternative (buying a new dash), it seems like the route to go. The only thing I am worried about it it warping.
