Well forgive me for the dirty ride it just got done raining. I will get some better pics when I clean it. Also I will take some light output pics for those wondering how transparent it is.

T/Y I wish it wasn't so low in the back sometimes, cause both of my side skirts are cracked where they wrap around the wheel wells. From pulling into my driveway. Thats even pullin in sideways.

looks great I would like to do that. How did you do it?I did it with a special formula I came up with. It's a secret. J/K It's clear with a little black added to it. If anyone is interested I can start doing this for people :)

AWESOME. I never see tail lights that have that good of a finish.. it's always reallllllllly grainy, even after sanding and buffing it seems like.

Did you use a quality compressor/gun for this I'd assume?

Down here people do that a lot. The cool thing about that is you can tint them any color you want. Theres this silver lightning around here that tinted them silver. It looks pretty nice. From what I understand, the paint shops will get a bunch of clear, and a little of the paint color to be used. Then they apply it on the taillight or headlights. I really liked how it came out on your Alero 420olds. Maybe one day Ill do it on mine.

hmmm mix clear and black and "tint" the wheels. that would look nice. I love the gold color on the car dose that color have matalic in it ? what is the paint code ? is that the stock alero color ? thinking of useing that color for a two tone with the midnight blue I have and a gray/silver stripe seperating them. if I don't do silver and blue

Did you use a quality compressor/gun for this I'd assume?Yes sir Professional here no spray cans for me. Although they work to for some things. As far as what I used It was DuPont Chroma Clear With a little touch of magic. It only took about 1 hour to do + dry time=4Hours.

looks great.... but thats too much chrome for me. Rims dont go with the bodykit or sport style you got going.

Makes me want the razzi kit with the razzi spoiler

the wheels just do not match that black and gold setup.....bleh...if you had black wheels it would look much much much betterYeah I have been thinkin of going black with a machined lip. There is too much black to get away with chrome wheels. Before the tinted tails it didn't look to bad but, now it just doesn't flow.

I tinted my tail lights using similar if not the same stuff.... but how did you get your shiny??
mine are black and everything just not as glossy the clear coat did not makke them like that

Valley olds
11-08-2008, 07:28 PM
If you used automotive paint like us, maybe you didn't use enough clear. If you wanted, you could try waxing your taillights. Maybe that will make them glossier.

looks awesome. mine are nowhere near that shiny. nice car too ... i want the razzi kit:cry:

i dun like tinted tails, but they look pretty good on your car! razzi spoiler is nice. your wheels look ok, no need to change em. black wheels often look like naked wheels w/out hubs.
