don't get any color grille...plain metal (which is either stainless steel or aluminim) will be best if you do it at all.

black grilles can look decent on darker cars (like if my maroon car had dark rims/accents then maybe) but yours, stick w/ silver/aluminum

home depot/lowe's gutter mesh for you

i had to get the "real" Pep Boys mesh since my opening's a lot taller, $40/sheet, i needed 2.

^^ WOW you only paid $40. Mine was $70 but the sheet wasn't that tall either.

Of course I bought it back in 2001. It's a "little Circle" pattern.

Don't do gutter mesh, looks ricey, IMO but if you do, paint it with rust-o-lem ;)

Not bad. I'm just gonna get gutter mesh and make it look like chrome.

I got it at a local speed shop. I totally forget the name brand of the mesh

I love it actually. I painted mine white.

Don't spend $40 for it on eBay, unless you're sure it's not gutter mesh ;)

Here's a close up of mine.

Keep in mind, this pic was taken in 2003 during my divorce. I really didn't take that good care of the car then

"Real" grille mesh looks exactly like gutter guards...

http://www.contractorssolutions.com/Information/images_gutters/mesh_ShieldGutters.jpg

And gutter guards are typically stainless steel or aluminum. It doesn't rust, like you always say.

However, I'd REALLY like the mesh they use in the new Cadillac CTS-V's grille. That shit's high qual.

standard plastic gutter mesh comes in a roll at most hardware stores and only costs about $10. I bought it and then hit it with some duplicolor chrome paint. it looks awsome and is ridiculously easy to cut and install (clear zip tie work best and if places properly are essentially invisible). total cost was about $17 canadian.

never thought bout the zip ties
i think i might go wit the gutter mesh and zip ties unless i find something better

i might paint em black and see how it works with the silver other wise i'll just switch em out :-D

AAS sells the mesh in sheets, pretty ok stuff, I got mine at pepboys its APC and I needed to sheets for the AAS body Kit, and used marine epoxy or goop to attach it, it can withstand just about anything. I was backed up into and front kit was cracked all to hell, but mesh held it all together lol

get a stiff brush (not a hair brush LOL) clean out the bugs. then put on your mesh. the mesh doesn't affect performance whatsoever, but does protect your radiator fins from small rocks and large bugs.
