I just got and 02 Alero 4 Door Gl with the 2.2 Ecotec and the auto Tranny.
What kind of Quarter Mile time is it capable of and what could I do to make it faster without making it louder?
Thanks,
Dan

The ecotec was pulled by GM at 1450 horses and made 6.6 sec@211 MPH the best time ever made by a fwd compact car!!but stock it can run a 16 or high 16 i think!!

1450? I figured it can get up to 800HP tops.
I'm wondering how an Ecotec can manage 1450HP and the best Honda can manage is about 800 with a B Series.
Any link to this Ecotec.
Interested.

60 PSI of boost and a shitload of internal reinforcing modifications, is how GM got their L61 to where it is. And hybridizing with the LSJ, I believe. I just read some cliffs off Google.

Nevermind. I found a link. Remarkable. I'd be happy with just 300 hp and wondering if my 4T40E could handle that.

Yep, it can. Extremely achievable. Turbocharge it. Check out www.j-body.org.

It can be explained only by means of extremely complex formulas, that only the most highly educated scholars have been able to decipher.
The formulas I've seen, go something like:
GM pwns honda
hondas r gay
ur mom drives honda
etc etc.
