I just purchased the Intrax springs off of summit (they actually had them in stock, so they should ship today). Now, I was wondering if I should go ahead and replace the stock shocks while I'm at it. Granted, both the rear shocks and the passenger front shock have fewer then 2k miles on them. If I replaced the shocks, I was going to get the KYB shocks under the Grand Am section of PFYC.

Would it even be worth it for me at this point? Are they that much better then stock?

I was also thinking about replacing the sway bars with the ones from PFYC, has anyone used these?

yea if you dont have too many miles on your current struts id say dont worry about it, im going with some new springs and i know my 80,000 mile alero has the stock struts on it so im getting some new ones when slap on the springs.

I put new struts on mine when I had my springs installed, but that was because my struts were already bad.

Check out tirerack.com They have the KYB's for about $50 cheaper than PFYC and for a few bucks more you can get the boots too.

I have the tower braces from PFYC. pretty good product. I think the sways are by the same company

Is summit the only place you can purchase the intrax springs?

Edit: N/M after reading another thread it seems intrax are the softest springs out of all the brands available and that's not what I'm looking for... I want a ride as low as possible with just lowering springs but I also want something stiffer than intrax can likely provide... suggestions anybody? H&R? ST Springs? (and the best place to purchase them from)

^^^ dude if u want stiff. get kyb's. they are superior over the stock sturts. combine those with any springs and im sure u will be happy.

i have intraxx, kybs, and 18's. and its stiff as hell. hated it at first but now i love it

I agree... I have at times considered going back to my 35,000 mile used stock struts as it gets rough with the KYB's and Intrax on my car driving around. I can feel the seams in the highway between the concrete every time. Pot holes are a pain as well...

Only people in the back set complain about it to me... as they are basically sitting over the rear end and feel it more than I do while driving.
