I found a booklet saying my car had keyless entry which I don't have. Yet, not sure but I thought it was newer models had this. If my car is equipped where can I get a replacement remote?

Give me your vin number ill tell you if you have it. If you do maybe you can go to the dealer and get fobs. I prefer viper systems though with remote start :)

i'd imagine Okla, gets into the 10s or 20s.... it depends on what you consider cold, vir. i'd imagine sweden gets much colder then the majority of the continental states...

Look on your Service Parts Identification label on the underside of your spare tire cover for the code "AU0"

Celsius.
Though, It's not that far off if I understand how it works.
-32 is the equal point.

My 1999 model does have one of those FOB things where I can press a button and the doors unlock, if that's what you mean.

Yes the 99 aleros have keyless entry, and I am pretty sure it was a standard feature. Mine has it, but was useless once i had the alarm/starter installed, the only good thing is they did not need the acuators for the keyless entry to wire into the alarm since it was there

same^^. Anyway I'd go for a viper system, my cousin had one and it was awesome, it controlled his windows, remote started the truck and told him everything that was going on from his remote (it was the blue one with the LCD on it) it also had an aux controller on it, i think he said you could use that to turn something you wired up to it on.:coolio:

I have a 1999 4 door that has power locks, but did not come with the remote lock feature. I thought I would just get the transceiver, plug it in, and program the fobs. No luck, in my car there is no connection for the transceiver (which is located under the rear speaker deck). So, I wimped out, got a remote car starter installed, and now have the remote door lock feature from it to use.

did you pull up the speaker shelf cover or just look in from the trunk?

Both. I found where it mounts, and even mounted it, but there was no plug for it.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, that I'm sure is beat to death. I got this 03 alero in the spring, it has the module under the rear deck lid. I don't have the code for keyless entry but have power locks.
Is it possible to have the keyless programed with a tech II so I could have this feature?

Monsoon amp is mounted in a bracket between the trunk liner and drivers side rear quarter panel. If it is on the deck it would have to be the rcdlr, assuming by rear deck lid he is referring to the carpet piece over the speakers.

LMFAO Really dude? That's not even the topic on the dead thread.
2003 should have had the keyless standard, although it's pretty common to lose those remotes. My Camaro only came with one.
AFAIK, you could program the remote without a Tech2.

I tried to program the remotes I found at the pull a part, with several methods I found on here but nothing worked. They should be the right remotes by checking the numbers with ebay descriptions and from on this sight.
Since this was an avis rental and it doesn't have the rpo code for keyless, I was hoping maybe it was included in the rental package.

That's strange, you would think rental cars weren't stripped out of stuff like that. I could see that happening with fleet cars (popo, fire response, etc), but it comes off as rather odd that it doesn't have it.
Can you take a picture of the box you're seeing?
