I want to remove my pintripe because i think it will look better. Is there anything special you have to do or just peal away. Does it leave any sticky residue or anything?

On my old car I used a hair dryer and some stuff to remove the gooo. It worked really well

If it's really warm out (+70 F) then it should come off with little or no residue. But if you do have goo, use Goo Gone or any orange oil to get rid of it. And there's no need to worry, it's safe for your paint. (Just make sure you don't get Goo Gone under your nails...it hurts like a bitch!)

I took mine off earlier this month. Just got one side up and started peeling back slowly, it came off in big chunks. Then I used a sock with some gas on it to get the residue off. I did wash my car afterwards to make sure it was clean and there wasn't any gas left on the paint.

while you have the goo gone out and a rag, get some dental floss and take off the plastic ribs along side the doors.

Why does it look good with that taken out?

can somebody post a pic with it removed (i've been thinking of taking it off, it's already starting to curl on one end)?

chek my car domain...(link in my sig) I recently took it off. It loox sooooo much better.

It was startin to curl and warp too..

and also, I must be the only one who actually PUT pinstripe on my car! I think it loox good....as long as its the right color. and as long as it dosent clash with the look u are trying to get out of your car. I.E. riced alero w/pinstripe....nope.

I took mine off....I'd go through sections of pinstriping where it peeled off REAL easily, then sections where it came off in LITTLE TINY pieces (took 4ever!)...I used a hair dryer the whole time too. Also as far as the residue goes, use Macguire's Paint Cleaner, it works GREAT (and made for cars too, though goo gone DOES work fine as well)
